Hi ! It is me again ! Today , i am going to blog about my Wiki experience !
Recently , I was assigned to a group of 5 members to do a research on what are the issues mentioned in the the latest Wiki developments. The 5 members that i am working with in this group assignment are Clarence , XIN YING , Illiana , Joleen and myself.
The significant experience for me working in the group is the way how our works are efficiently distributed and completed. In that assignment, we brainstormed all the points that were mentioned and then we eliminated all those quite irrelevant ones. After which , we will distributed to everyone to elaborate and complete it by a certain date. This shows how our works are efficiently distributed and completed. In addition , another significant experience is that the interaction we had. Through the interaction, we sort of get to know and understand each other more.
As an individual contributer , the experience that I've gained is that what I contributed in the Wiki will be a great help to others as it gives them an idea of what can be elaborated and summarized .
The advice that i would give to the next batch of wiki groups as they start a similar project is that they should do a copy on Microsoft Word before contributing it to the Wiki . This is because the work that you do on the wiki may be overwritten by the another person who posted it earlier than you . ( P.S. i really experience it for my individual assignment and as a result , i completed my assignment at 4 am). Another advice is ALWAYS TO START EARLY !
No, i would not use Wiki for research in my own Diplomas because the information contributed by users may not be accurate and opinions are based on different point of views. So it is not useful using Wiki for my research.

Sooo long since i have blogged about my my EIR.... So sorry !
So today i will blogging about twitter !
So what is twitter?
Based on tweeternet.com, Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows you answer the question, "What are you doing?" by sending short text messages 140 characters in length, called "tweets", to your friends, or "followers."
In short, twitter allows us to blog about the things happening around us.
How does Twitter enhance my learning in EIR?
Twitter allows me to ask my teacher or fellow students questions about EIR easily as there is not a need to type in formal language and reply on the questions are faster than e-mail due to the consistent update from most of the students. As a result, interaction between teacher and the students would improve tremendously.
By comparing it with my blogging experience using blogspot, i think twitter is the mini version of blogspot as we do not have elaborate about what is happening around us, but summarizing them into the 140 word limit.
For twitter, we can use it as a research purpose by following the users such as CNN , ChannelNewsAsia and etc. These users would tweet about the articles that are happening around the world and some of the articles might be the one we need it for my research . Hence , this shows how twitter can use it as a research purpose.
For BlogSpot , we can use it as a research purpose by reading people' opinions about the topic that we are interested in researching on.
This shows that both twitter and blogspot are useful in research purpose and i really admire the founders of twitter and blogspot ! teeheee

Hello... I am so so so so so so sorry that i haven't been updating my blog. So , in order to show my
sincere apology, i am going to update my blog.
Anyway, the theme for this today blog's entry is 'My Dream Holidays' !!
I guess every Singapore love holidays because it free us from all the taxing work and studies that we have to go throughout the year. When it is holidays, parents will bring us to different countries to enjoy and relax ourselves. As a result, everyone of us will have their dream holiday destinations.

The second part of the blog entry is where I need to evaluate the multimedia website for my dream holidays.
So the website that i am going to evaluate is http://www.spain.info/
The criteria I used to evaluate the multimedia website for my dream holiday is the presentation and arrangement.
For presentation and arrangement criteria, it involves whether the website capture attention or aesthetically pleasing.
In this case, the website capture my attention a lot as it is has all the beautiful sceneries of Spain and it also have video of Spain , therefore , it makes the website very nice and attractive .
As for the presentation , it is easily navigated and each of the links will bring you where you want to access to . For example , if you need to book tickets to Spain , there is a link for you to book tickets. Therefore , i can say that the presentation of the website is really damn awesome.

Hi all ~ i m back to blogging after M.I.A for like 2 weeks due to HOLIDAYSSSSS ! WHEEEEEEEEEEE~~~
Anyway , today i am gonna to blog about the what i have learnt in the first week of EIR tutorial (since the reopening of school )
In this tutorial , we were told to form into group and evaluate its website using several criteria
This criteria that we used to evaluate was the accuracy of the information. We used accuracy because most citizens' journal are factual in content. But for stomp , the accuracy is lousy as most of the content are opinions , there were no cited references in each articles and the source of information are usually from people with weird names ( Like anonymous, tiger , ah gou or ah mao) From this evaluation , i have learnt that STOMP is a website that is really not worth getting knowledge from it unless you need it for entertainment purposes . In addition , i have learnt that we can use factors (eg. Purposes , accuracy , currency and etc. ) to evaluate a website , which will allow us to know whether the a particular website is worth getting information from :D
if i were to create my own version if "stomp" in relation to my research topic ( The youth fashion trends in Europe) , i would ensure that the post will deemed to be relevant or accurate before publishing it on to the web.
To address all the implications in stomp, we can have a section called "Good to know" or "fun to know" . This section allows stompers to post all those irrelevant or nonsensical stuff so that it can allows to reader to have some entertainment while reading the more serious and relevant information from other sections.

Hi ! this is the second late entry that i need to post it. Omg! i am so late in posting my blog entry ! but then i still tried my best to post it A.S.A.P!
Anyway, the second entry that i need to post is what will i do when i have $500 dollahhhsss~

i will spent it on SHOEEESSS , capss and a mp3 !!! i think i am a guy who is fetish for shoes. hahaha

Woohoo! this is new generation iPod nano damm sleek ! it is small and it is a touchscreen device which makes so convenient to bring it around (i.e put into very tight pockets due to its size and thickness) . in addition , it also has a clip at the back which allows those joggers to clip around their arm when jogging , making it very comfortable ! this iPod nano will cost around 278 for its 16Gb memory ! (16Gb means i can put a lot a lot a lot of stufffsss)
These 4 products will add to cost about $500 . woah ~ this is how i spend my money ! damm crazy haha.
From this reflection , i have learned that internet has a lot of things to buy and usually they are much cheaper in Singapore ! however , one point to take note is that always look for trusted seller so that the risk of you getting cheated will be lower .

Hi , It is me ! oh man , nowadays i think i am being bad kid because i did not do my blog reflection. So i should punish myself by holding my ears and stand outside my house for 1 hour okay !
Anyway , back to the main point. Today , i will be doing a reflection about search engine and discussion forum .
Firstly , i will be talking about the google's search functions. I have to admit that i am veryyyyy impressed with the google's search functions because it allows me to search everything that i need to know. For example, information about a bank or the fashion trends among European teenagers can be searched in Google. That's why there's a quote called "Google's your best friend" :DDD . In addition , address that is linked are relevant to the topics i've searched in google.
Searched items are also available in images or video , instead of web address .
If you need a to find a place that you intended to head , "google maps" will show your the place and maybe planning the shortest available journey for you :D
oh yeah , what if your english sucks but then you are imba in chinese? dun worry ! google has 4 different languages(english,chinese,malay and tamil) option to choose from !
Next, it will be the discussion forum that i have participate.
At first , i was quite nervous about participating discussion forum because i don't know what topics will i be needed to write on. After going in to the forum , i totally shocked because the topic was about internet and it wasn't related to the topics that i had researched on (which is what are the fashion trends among european youths) . however , internet was what we are exposed to everyday , so it wasn't to write at all:D
Citation and bibliography are needed because it shows that you are crediting the authors' work and also to ensure that you don't violate the copyright law in the internet !
That's what i gotta write ! NIGHTS! :D

In this MIA shop , they offered a wide range of men products which includes portraits , clothing , sexaye poster (HAHAHA) and etc.
The shopping environment was very old school as most of the shops are made of woods and planks. In addition , the place was also very quiet as there was not much shoppers over there .
To me , second life would be the most user-friendly game that i have every played as it allows me to teleport from one place to place. and , if you think that you are walking too slow , you can press "PAGE UP" and it will let you fly like a bird in the air yea . how awesome !
While exploring the island , i met some friends and they were very very very very friendly . They taught me how to buy stuffs and carry different items around. I am very glad that I've met them .
So what are the differences in this experience and the e-shopping that I've done in practical 1 and 2?
1. Goods in SL are arranged in such a way that it is easy for me to find what i want (eg. suit are arranged together). On the other hand, goods that i research for my practical was quite badly arranged.
2. Goods in SL can be purchased with just a click while on e-shopping , we have to add cart then check out which was so leychey(troublesome in malay) haha
The thing that I have gained from this experience is the advancement in internet technology ! Last time , internet was mainly used for researching purpose. But , as the time passed by , internet has became more advanced to the extent to which that everyone can get connected to one another in an online game !
However , the most challenging part that I faced in this experience was the lag in the game. Due to the lag , I've difficulty in seeing the object in front of me and also moving my sim around. I hope that SL creators can work on this problem so that everyone can have a hell lot of fun playing this .
